The Plymouth Art Weekender is on the weekend of the 27/28/29 September 2019, when exhibitions and events will happen across the city.

I am pleased to announce that I am being hosted by the Plymouth Proprietary Library* to showcase my Book of Leaves project as part of the Plymouth Art Weekender. It will be an exhibition of drawings and glass engraving expanding and including the Book of Leaves project.

The Book of Leaves was a collection of drawings of leaves. The leaves were found and sent to me by people from all over the world over the course of a year. Each one was given with detail of when, where and why it was picked. I then drew each leaf and bound them together (using Japanese stab binding) to form a book. This project explored themes of memory, place and the ephemeral beauty of nature.

To accompany the exhibition the Library will have a display of supporting books and materials.

I will be in attendance to talk about my work. If you feel inclined, I invite you to bring me a leaf to add to the collection.
